Kishu Binchotan is known as the best quality charcoal for purifying water. Binchotan charcoal is activated through an extremly high burning temprature and rapid cooling process.  

Binchotan absorb chlorine and other chemicals from drinking water while releasing natural minerals into it. It has an alkaline effect (PH Level 8 - 8.5), softening and improving the overall taste of water. 

Before using the charcoal for the first tome, rise with water and boil for 10 minutes to refresh it, let it dry then place it in your water pitcher. Bichotan can be re-used up to around 3 months.  Recycle it by breaking it into small pieces, and then place them into your plant soil for creating micro water and air cavities in the soil.
